Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and the Economic Reporters’ Forum (ERF) will work jointly to promote evidence-based and analytical journalism on key economic and development issues in Bangladesh, facilitate knowledge exchange, and strengthen the professional capacity of media professionals. To this end, PKSF and ERF signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today at PKSF Bhaban-1.   

Dr AKM Nuruzzaman, Senior General Manager of PKSF, and Abul Kashem, General Secretary of ERF, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. PKSF Chairman Zakir Ahmed Khan, Managing Director Md Fazlul Kader, ERF President Doulat Akter Mala, and other representatives of both institutions were present at the signing ceremony.   

Under the MoU, PKSF and ERF will jointly organize training programs, workshops and orientation sessions to enhance ERF members’ knowledge and professional skills on a range of development issues, including sustainable livelihoods, social protection, climate resilience and inclusive development.

The partnership will also facilitate greater access to information on PKSF’s programs, research, studies, innovations and publications, creating opportunities for journalists to exchange knowledge and gain deeper insights into development initiatives and emerging issues.   

PKSF and ERF will further collaborate to arrange media visits for ERF members to selected PKSF programs and field-level interventions. These visits will provide journalists with first-hand exposure to development initiatives, people’s livelihoods and grassroots economic activities, enabling more informed and field-based reporting on Bangladesh’s development landscape.
