Consultation meeting to address potable water crisis
The salinity-prone coastal districts of southwestern Bangladesh face an acute shortage of potable water. PKSF arranged a consultation meeting on 8 February 2022 to address the issue and to produce potable water to ensure its distribution at the community-level at an affordable price. PKSF’s Managing Director Dr Nomita Halder ndc chaired the meeting. Mr M Iqbal, Chairman, IMR Enterprise Limited, who has specialization in setting up saline water treatment plants in the coastal areas shared his experiences and observation. The senior officials of PKSF, the executive heads and officials of various Partner Organizations involved in setting up RO water plants attended the meeting.
