An Indian MFI delegation’s visit to PKSF
A 16-member delegation from the Association of Microfinance Institutions of West Bengal (AMFI-WB), India visited PKSF on 3 May 2023. To exchange views with the delegation, PKSF Training Unit organized a meeting titled ‘Sharing Experience: PKSF’s Intervention in Poverty Alleviation’.
Dr Nomita Halder ndc, Managing Director of PKSF presided over the meeting. Md Fazlul Kader, Additional Managing Director of PKSF gave the keynote presentation on the evolution of the microfinance industry in the Indian subcontinent, with a special focus on Bangladesh, and shared the history of PKSF and its operational procedure.
The delegation expressed keen interest in replicating PKSF model in India and sought technical and advisory support from PKSF. In response, Dr Halder said that PKSF always shares its experiences with the partners and stakeholders. She added that PKSF would provide necessary technical assistance for the development of the Indian rural community.
