The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is set to finance $70mn for a new PKSF project, titled ‘GREEN’. A loan negotiation meeting to this end was held between the Government of Bangladesh (GoB) and IFAD at the Economic Relations Division (ERD) in Agargaon, Dhaka on 14 October 2025.

Deputy Managing Director Dr Akond Mohammad Rafiqul Islam represented PKSF in the meeting. The negotiated financing agreement was signed by Mohd Ahsan Kibria Siddiqui, Additional Secretary, ERD, GoB, and Dr Valantine Achancho, Country Director of IFAD.

The GREEN project aims to promote climate-resilient microenterprises in Bangladesh, with a particular focus on environmental entrepreneurship and nutrition.
