MoU signed for SICIP to train 12,000 youth

A bilateral agreement was signed between Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and the Skills Development Coordination and Monitoring Unit (SDCMU) under the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance on 11 March 2025 to implement the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP) to develop the skills of marginalized people.
PKSF Managing Director Md Fazlul Kader signed the agreement on behalf of PKSF. Mohammed Walid Hossain, Additional Secretary and Executive Program Director, SICIP chaired the agreement signing ceremony. Md Ziauddin Iqbal, Senior General Manager of PKSF, and the Deputy Executive Program Directors of SICIP Project, the Program Directors and other relevant officials were also present there.
The Tk 62.78 crore project will provide 12,000 people from the marginalized areas of the country with skill development training on 12 technical trades high in demand at home and abroad. After successful completion of the training, suitable employment arrangements will be made for them so that they can play an important role in the country’s economy. In addition, those aspiring to be entrepreneurs will be provided with financing facilities through the relevant Partner Organizations of PKSF.
