SGA Signed between PKSF and Finance Division on New Project
Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) is set to implement a project titled ‘Strengthening Resilience of Livestock Farmers through Risk Reducing Services’ funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
On 13 August 2020, a Subsidiary Grant Agreement (SGA) was signed between PKSF and the Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh at at Bangladesh Secretariat in this regard.
Mr. Golam Touhid, Deputy Managing Director of PKSF, and Mr. Sirajun Noor Chowdhury, Joint Secretary of Finance Division, signed the SGA on behalf of their respective institutions.
Mr. Md. Hasan Khaled, Senior General Manager (Program), PKSF; Mr. Touhidul Islam, Deputy Secretary, Finance Division, and Ms. Mursheda Zaman, Deputy Secretary, Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance were also present in the SGA signing ceremony.
The main objective of the project is to improve the capacity and knowledge of livestock farmers on good farming practices through training, vaccination camp etc. to reduce the morbidity and mortality risks of livestock and encouraging farmers to invest more in livestock rearing. The project will also improve the capacity of different stakeholders on risk mitigation services for the livestock sector of the country.
