PKSF receives recognition for Best Innovation Initiative
In yet another feat, PKSF has received a special recognition for its innovative service delivery mechanisms. The GIS-Based Supervision & Monitoring System of PKSF has been recognized as the Best Innovation Initiative.
The award was presented at the Innovation Showcasing 2025–26 program, organized by the Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance. Hon’ble Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury attended the event as the Chief Guest and presented the award to Md Fazlul Kader, Managing Director of PKSF.
The GIS-based system enables more efficient supervision and monitoring of project implementation and field-level activities.
Under PKSF’s BD Rural WASH for Human Capital Development (HCD) project, the system facilitates the real-time collection and monitoring of data, photographs, and GPS-based location information on safe sanitation and water supply services. As a result, it has enhanced transparency, accountability, and overall effectiveness in project implementation.
In recognition of its outstanding contribution to rural development, PKSF was honored with the country’s highest civilian award, the Independence Award 2026.
The Innovation Showcasing 2025-26 featured innovative initiatives from 25 institutions under the Financial Institutions Division. Based on the evaluation of innovative services, awards were presented to the best initiatives in five categories. Janata Bank PLC received the award in the State-owned Commercial Bank category for its Janata Pay initiative, while Probashi Kallyan Bank was recognized in the State-owned Specialized Bank category for its e-Migration Loan Service. In the Regulatory Authority category, the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority received the award for its Insurance Mobile App. The Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation was recognized in the Financial Institution category for its Automation of Document Return Process, while PKSF received the award in the Other Institutions category for its GIS-Based Supervision & Monitoring System.
