Dr Valantine Achancho, the newly appointed country director of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on PKSF Chairman Zakir Ahmed Khan on 08 September 2024. PKSF’s Acting Managing Director Md Fazlul Kader and Deputy Managing Director Dr Akond Md Rafiqul Islam were present at this time.     

Before this, Dr Achancho attended the kick-off meeting of the Supervision Mission for Rural Microenterprise Transformation Project (RMTP), funded by IFAD and Danida. In the meeting, Md Fazlul Kader gave the opening speech and Dr Md Rafiqul Islam presented on the overall progress, evaluation and results of the project. Danish Embassy representative Syed Matiul Ahsan and officials of IFAD Bangladesh and RMTP were also present in the meeting.
