PKSF’s environment-friendly microenterprise fair begins February 8
PKSF is set to launch a three-day event titled ‘Shuponno Somahar: Environment-friendly Microenterprise Fair 2024’, starting on 8 February 2024, Thursday, at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in Dhaka under its Sustainable Enterprise Project (SEP).
PKSF has been implementing the Sustainable Enterprise Project (SEP) since 2018 to support the production and marketing of high-quality value-added products within the microenterprise sector of the country. The primary focus of this project is to encourage the adoption of environmentally sustainable practices among microenterprises.
The Fair will showcase and promote the marketing of products crafted by the SEP-supported micro-entrepreneurs.
The inaugural ceremony of the Fair is scheduled to take place at 11 am on 8 February 2024 at the Carnival Hall, BICC. Dr. M. Khairul Hossain, Chairman of PKSF, will inaugurate the Fair.
With a total of 77 stalls representing micro-entrepreneurs supported by the project and 47 stalls representing PKSF’s Partner Organizations, the Fair promises to offer a diverse array of value-added products to visitors.
The Fair will remain open to visitors daily from 10 am to 8 pm until February 10, providing ample opportunities to explore the showcased products.
Funded jointly by PKSF and the World Bank, the Sustainable Enterprise Project has made significant strides in promoting environmentally sustainable practices among microenterprises. Through 64 sub-projects implemented through 47 Partner Organizations of PKSF, over 65,000 microenterprises across 37 districts of the country have received financial and technical support under this project.
