ToT on Business Management and Entrepreneurship Development held
The inauguration program of the second batch of Training of Trainers (ToT) on Business Management and Entrepreneurship Development (BMED) was held on 5 December 2023. The training was organized by the Project Management Unit of PKSF’s Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE) project.
Anika Rahman, RAISE Project Task Team Leader and Social Protection Economist, World Bank; Masud Rana, Operations Consultant, World Bank; and Dilip Kumar Chakravorty, Project Coordinator, RAISE and General Manager, PKSF were present among others at the inauguration.
Under the RAISE project, a range of financing and capacity enhancement programs are being implemented at the grassroots. In this 96-hour BMED training, young micro-entrepreneurs will receive training on Life-skills, Risk Management and Business Continuity, Generic Business Management, and Occupation Specific Business Management.
The ToT program on BMED started from 02 December 2023. In order to effectively implement this training program at the grassroots and considering its long-term impacts, a series of 3-day ToT workshops will be organized for 454 officials in 17 batches at the regional level. These sessions will involve active participation of 276 Project Implementing Unit’s (PIU’s) officials from 69 Partner Organizations (POs) as well as 178 selected officials from the training pool of these POs.
